a driver wants his car to jump over cars parked below him. He drives his car of a horizontal ramp (so a ledge) that is 2 meters above the cars. What is the slowest he can go to clear the cars which has a total horizontal distance of 24 meters

time across: t= 24/V
vertical drop= 2m=1/2 g t^2
so 2=1/2 *9.8 (24/V)^2
solve for V
time across: t= 24/V
