WHAT ABOUT mixing solid sulphur & iron filings

What about it?
Mix sulphur (note the international spelling is sulfur) & iron filings and you get a mixture that is easily separated.
Either dissolve the sulfur in carbon disulfide by shaking the mixture with the solvent. Filter to recover the iron filings and evaporate the carbon disulfide to recover the sulfur.
Or use a magnet to recover the iron filings from the mixture of solids.
