What happens when sulphur reacts with iron? Does it make any colours before it turns dark grey? Does it do anything significant that I should need to know? I know that it is an exothermic reaction but is that it? Please help, Thanks.

S is an element. Fe is an element. When they react both change completely because a chemical reaction has taken place and a compound has been formed. The product has none of the physical properties (all are solid of course) or chemical properties.
