In an experiment, a shearwater (a seabird) was taken from its nest, flown 4760 km away, and released. It found its way back to its nest 14.9 days after it was released. If we place the origin at the nest and extend the +x axis to the release point, what was the bird's average velocity for the following?
(a) the return flight (Indicate the direction by the sign of the velocity.)
m/s

t = 14.9days * 24hr/day = 357.6h.
V = d / t = 4760 / 357.6 = 13.3km/h.
V = 13300m/h * (1/3600)h/s = 3.69m/s.
V = d / t = 4760 / 357.6 = 13.3km/h.
V = 13300m/h * (1/3600)h/s = 3.69m/s.
