I am reading a book called Journey Home by Yoshiko Uchida but I don't what the climax to the story is.
Thank You
I have not read this book, but I've read a few of the short reviews at amazon.com. Given the topic of the story and its historical nature (even though it's fiction), I'd say the climax is something rather earthshaking that happens or that they learn about once they get back home.
Climaxes of stories (short stories or books or plays) usually occur at or near the end. It's quite identifiable because it is ONE action (doesn't take place over hours and days and weeks!) that is often shocking or that solves the ongoing problem (conflict) in the story.
