Consider the function F(x)=x^2+6x-2.

find h, the coordinate of the vertx of this parabola.

Complete the square and rewrite it as

F(x) = x^2 + 6x + 9 -9 -2 = (x+3)^2 -11
The vertex (lowest point) occurs where x = -3.

y = F(x) = -11 there
