how much force is needed to accelerate a golfball and basketball at the same speed for one metre?

It depends upon the mass M and the speed V that is attained by each.
If acceleration to a velocity V is attained while moving a distance X, in time T,

Work done = F*X = (1/2) M V^2

F = (1/2) M V^2 / (1 meter)
