Let the two consecutive numbers be x and x+1
translating "The sum of 2 consecutive integers is equal to their difference" ---> x + x+1 = x+1 - x
I trust you to solve for x

x + x + 1 = x + 1 - x
-x + x + x + 1 = x + 1 -x + -x
= x + 1 = x + 1 = 2x
x = 1 = 1 = x + 1 -1 - 2x
x = x = 2x
3 = 3 - 2 * 3 = [-3]
-x + x + x + 1 = x + 1 -x + -x
= x + 1 = x + 1 = 2x
x = 1 = 1 = x + 1 -1 - 2x
x = x = 2x
3 = 3 - 2 * 3 = [-3]

x + x + 1 = x + 1 = x
x + x + x + 1 = x + 1 - x + x
3x + 1 = x + 1
-x + 3x + 1 = -x + x + 1
2x + 1
x + x + x + 1 = x + 1 - x + x
3x + 1 = x + 1
-x + 3x + 1 = -x + x + 1
2x + 1
