The Cartoon on Getty Images, Cosy Communist circa 1940.

I'm trying to find where it was originally published and who originally drew it so that I can put that in my research journal. We are graded on our research journal and it documents like all our research. I need to assess its credibility and to do this I need the above.

I couldn't find any more information about this cartoon either.

Based on what you know do you think I should reference it as from Getty Images, or should I ditch it and try to find another one?

If you can, I suggest you ditch it. The cartoon was certainly published about 1940, but since we don't know who published it, it's really not reliable.
