my question is
if we have a cube that is 20cm cubed
And 2 lenths representing 24 cm and 23 cm
We want to find x which is the width
how do we do that ?

Are you sure you've copied the question correctly? Using your figures, the width is about 1/3 of a centimeter, which doesn't make much sense.

I'm not sure , but the question is really how do we find a length if we have two lengths with the area

You multiply the three sides together to find the volume of a cube.
