    Geometric series, with zero as the first term?  That is a new one.
first: 0,0,0,0,0,....
Second, 16, 40, 100, 250, ..

    would the common ratio be 4 
I am not sure how to compute
because first term 4 x 4 = 16
but 4x16 is not 40 it equals 64 which is not the second term is possible there is no common ratio

    40/16=2.5
16*2.5=40
40*2.5=100
100*2.5=250
250*2.5=625
625*2.5=1562.5
1562.5*2.5=3906.25 etc
    
16*2.5=40
