There is a problem with the seasonal supply of water in many of the Mediterranean countries. For example Coasta del Sol receives most of their annual rainfall in the winter months. Unfortunately, the summer months require the most amount of water for swimming pools and golf courses as tourist facilities. Also, crops need to be irrigated to grow crops. There have been problems in Spain such as fights with farmers over who gets to water their crops.

Do you need to include other areas of the Mediterranean -- such as North Africa? What about Greece and the Middle East?
