cot(40) - ((sin(50))/(sin(40)) = ?

I thought since 50+40= 90 then that part would be 1, but then how would cot 40 turn out to be 1

sin50=cos40
then
ctn(40)-cos/sin= ctn(40)-ctn(40)=zilch
then
ctn(40)-cos/sin= ctn(40)-ctn(40)=zilch
