what is the final KE? Work must be equal to that.

The work done equals the increase in kinetic energy, if there is no friction.
They should have told you to assume that.
In the real world, there will be some friction.
I assume you know how to calculate the kinetic energy. When at rest, the kinetic energy is zero.
