I know this sentence is strong but, how do I explain it's strong?
Very few students use heroin. Tom is a student. So Tom doesn't use heroin.

The last sentence is erroneous. Tom might be one of the few students who uses heroin.

Can you help me explain why the sentence is strong. Very is vague generalities.

The three sentences, being short and clear, make them strong sentences, although this style is choppy. Other than that, I don't see them as strong sentences. The only verbs are "use" and "is" which are not strong verbs.
