First -- lets find Sara's age. She's 1/4 the age of her father. 1/4 * 60 = 15.

Next -- subtract 15 from 60.

Do the next part by trial and error. Hint: the father's age is probably a number divisible by 10.

How old is Sarah now?
1/4 x 60 = 15. Now you can calculate how much older her father is. That is 60-15 =??

What is 1/10 of her father's age? That is
1/10 x 60 = 10. That's how old she was then. Now you can answer how many years ago that was. Obviously it is 15 age now - 10 years old at 1/10 her fathers age = ??

Ok sorry didn't see all three. the first one is 45 years. my guess would be: he is 50 and she is 5.

I made an error. The first part is ok with the 1/4 x 60 etc and the 60-15 = ?? But the last part has the error. Obviously 1/10 of 60 is NOT 10 so ignore from there on in my response. Sorry about the mixup.
