                A car is moving along with a velocity of 88ft/sec and has a weight of 2000lbs. The engine suddenly stops. If the coefficient of frictgion between the car and road is .2.(a) Find the acceleration. (b) How long will it take to come to rest? (c) How far will it travel before it stops?

    88 ft/s = 60 mph
(a) Deceleration rate = M*g*0.2/M
= 17.6 ft/s^2
(b) T*17.6 ft/s^2 = 88 ft/s
T = 5.0 s
(c) X = average speed * T = (88/2)*5
= 220 feet
