How do you solve linear equations like -4x-5y-5 and or -5y-25=-x

It depends on what you mean by "solve". Do you mean solve for y?
The first is not an equation, there is no equal sign.
The second
add 5y to each side
-25=-x+5y
add x to each side
5y=x-25
divide each side by 5
y= x/5 - 5
