Is Ghana and Mali and nearby countries considered central Africa?
Since today it is on a modern map..it is located northwest...but back then..was it considered central africa?

Ghana, because of its tropical latitude and coastal location, is considered a west African country. Although relatively close to Ghana, Mali should be consided a sahelian African country, since it adjoins the Sahara and is quite dry.
Those are my opinions. There is not formal agreed-upon division of Africa into regional zones.
