Voyager was the first to see the volcanic eruption of sulfurous gases from the satellite Io, and reveal what seemed to be an icy surface of another satellite, Ganymede. It also provided incredible detail on the flow patterns around the Great Red Spot, and better information about the atmospheric composition. Evidence of lightning in Jupiter's atmosphere was also observed. The list goes on and on. Have you checked a NASA web site about the two Jupiter missions?
I worked on one of the Voyager instruments, the UV spectrometer, but the photographic data got most of the glory. They deserved it.
