Molar mass of NaCl is 58.443 g mol^-1
so for 250 ml of a 0.10 M solution we need
250 x 0.1 x 58.443 g /1000 =1.461 g NaCl
The main steps are
weigh 1.461 g of NaCl into a clean dry (100 ml) beaker
add approximately 20 ml demineralised water and agitate until solid has dissolved.
transfer the solution to a clean 250 ml volumetric flask, you will need to rinse the beaker a number of times to ensure complete transfer
make the solution up to the mark with demineralised water
put in stopper and shake to ensure mixture is homogeneous.
These are the basic steps, btu I am sure you add more to 'describe' how you would do this.
Describe how you would prepare 250 ml of a 0.10M NaCl solution?

1. How would you prepare 250 mL of 0.1 M NaOH? Calculate the mass of NaOH needed, and describe the procedure and glassware you would use.
