I'm having a hard time with a question predicting the reaction (if any) of 1,2-dichloroethane and sodium iodide, sodium iodate, and sulfuric acid. Any suggestions?

I know that a combination of NaI, NaIO3, and H2SO4 gives you I2. So the question becomes 1,2-dichloroethane + I2 in acid medium ==> ??
