There is a great deal of information on your textbook Paso a Paso online. You are probably in Unit 3 with the verb jugar. Looking at the vocabulary I noticed "jugar béisbol" and not "jugar al béisbol" as the Real Academia Española would have. Therefore I have contacted Prentice Hall asking why their text has simply "jugar béisbol" and not the usual "jugar + a + deporte (sport)" so I'll let you know when I get a response.
