What is the molecular formula for an alkane with 12 carbon atoms? (Type your answer using the format C2H4 for C2H4.)
so this problem might be easy because its the first question on my webassign but my teacher hasn't started teaching this yet but it is up on webassighn so I wanted to knock out a few problems. I read the chapter but can you guys explain this quesion for me?

Alkanes have the general formula of C<sub>n</sub>H<sub>2n+2</sub>; therefore, compound with 12 C atoms will be C<sub>12</sub>H<sub>26</sub>. Check my work.
