Yes — I once got sick after eating food someone else had prepared. I think it was food poisoning because the nausea and stomach cramps started a few hours after the meal. It could have been undercooked or spoiled food, or food that had been left at room temperature too long and became contaminated. Another possibility is that there was an ingredient I’m allergic or intolerant to that I didn’t know about. I rested, drank plenty of fluids, and would see a doctor if symptoms were severe. Since then I’ve been more careful about how food is stored and cooked and I ask about ingredients when I’m unsure.
