A solution made from .650g of an unknown compound in 27.8 g of diphenyl gave a freezing-point depression of 1.56 degrees C. Calculate the molality of the solution. (Kf for diphenyl is 8 degrees C/m)

delta T = Kf*molality
Answered by John
delta T = Kf x M x i

we have i =1 ..1 particle
Kf = 8
delta T =1.56

so m = delta T / Kf x i

= 1.56 / 8

= 0.195 m
