I liked the hands-on activities and group projects the most because they made learning fun and I could see how things worked. Reading the stories and doing experiments were my favorite parts because I could talk about them with my friends. I also liked the games we played to practice math facts because they were fast and exciting. The topic I struggled with the most was fractions because adding and changing them with different denominators was confusing. Sometimes I also mixed up the steps in long division and that made my work take longer. To do better in Unit 2, I will practice fractions a little every night and use flashcards for math facts. I will ask the teacher for help when I don’t understand something instead of guessing. I will keep my notes and homework organized in my binder so I can study faster. I think if I try these changes I will feel more confident and get better grades next unit.
