Question

Do you agree or disagree with Tia of the following . Give them your feedback discussion in 3 sentences in a 9th graders response

Of Mice and Men shows how tough life was during the Great Depression, especially for people who were poor, disabled and or different. George and Lennie are both outcasts, and even though George tries hard to protect Lennie, the world around them is too harsh. Steinbeck shows that society doesn't really care about the weak like Lennie, Candy's old dog, or even Curley's wife. They all get left behind or hurt in the end. As a reader I feel bad for George and Lennie. Their friendship is real but it's sad because no matter how much they care about each othe the world they live in doesn't give them a chance.
