A number is multiplied by -3 and then this product is decreased by 7. The result is 4 less than twice the opposite of the number. what is the number?

-3/5 because -3x - 4= 2x-4

The answer to this question is -3. The equations work out to be -3n-7=-2n-4, and then you can just work it out for yourself.

But now, both sides of the equation are different number set equal to each other if you plug -3/5 in for x. That just don’t work.
