Poem 1: The Cookie Sneak
In the kitchen, late at night,
I saw the cookies, oh, what a sight!
With chocolate chips, all warm and round,
I tiptoed near, not a single sound.
I took one bite, oh what a taste!
But then I heard footsteps in a haste.
My mom was coming, oh no, oh dear!
I stuffed half a cookie behind my ear!
But then I felt guilty, my heart went thud,
I told my mom, “I ate it, it’s good!”
She laughed and smiled, then we both had some,
Now cookie night is a family fun!
Sometimes it’s okay to do something wrong,
If you share the joy, it makes you feel strong!
Poem 2: The Messy Art
I painted a picture, so big and bright,
But my brush slipped and made a big fright!
Red splatters flew on the wall and floor,
“Oh no!” I gasped, “What did I do for sure?”
I panicked and thought, “I might get in trouble!”
But then my sister came in, see my bubble!
She squealed with delight, “Oh, what a splash!
It looks like a party, let’s have a bash!”
We grabbed more colors, and painted away,
The mess turned a room into a bright play!
Now it’s a mural that brings us such cheer,
Sometimes a mistake can make fun appear!
So if you mess up, don’t worry or frown,
It might just be magic that turns things around!
