If sin(α)=x, then
α
=sin<sup>-1</sup>x (arcsin(x))
If you have to evaluate the value of sin<sup>-1</sup>(6/7) on the calculator, use the key combination [inv][sin], or [2nd][sin]. This should work on most calculators.
I get
sin<sup>-1</sup>(6/7)=1 radian or 59 degrees, approximately.
