How many grams of magnesium fluoride could be produced from the reaction of 10.5g of magnesium with excess fluorine.


This is simple if you use ratios...

You know that 16.2 g Mg produced (16.2+25.3)g of MgF2.

16.2/(16.2+25.3)=10/x

solve for x.
