In chapters 6-11 of "To Kill a Mockingbird," Scout and her brother Jem go on adventures in their town called Maycomb. They are friends with a boy named Dill, who visits during the summer. One night, they sneak over to the Radley house because they are curious about their mysterious neighbor, Boo Radley. However, they get scared and run away when they think they see a ghost. Later, when Jem goes back to retrieve his pants, he finds them neatly folded, which is very strange. Scout learns a lot about kindness and understanding when they meet a boy named Walter Cunningham and later visit their teacher, Miss Caroline. These chapters show how the children grow up and learn more about their community and the people in it.
