For this activity, individually, you will create Scramble Poetry based on the conflict in Syria using the words/phrases list that we developed as a class. In other words, you will organize the words/phrases to create a poem. Remember - there is not a right way to create your poem. It does not have to rhyme. **Title: Whispers of Syria**

In the shadows, they gather,
Rebel hearts pounding,
Protesting against the echoes
Of a shattered homeland.

Fleeing the cries of a forsaken past,
Refugee dreams float on distant winds,
Each step—a story, a memory,
As the earth trembles beneath their resolve.

Syria—land of olive trees,
Where laughter mingles with tears,
And the sun, once a symbol of hope,
Now hides behind the smoke of despair.

Yet through the darkness, a flame ignites,
Voices rise in unity and strength,
For every soul that has fled,
A story of courage remains everlasting.
