I am sorry, but it appears to me that the moon does revolve around the Earth. The Earth/Moon system revolves around the sun.
At least, that's how I see it.

If on Earth one sees the moon as going around Earth. If on the sun,one sees the moon rotating around the SUN (albeit the moon is in a wobbly orbit around the Sun).

Both are right, however, most would say Earth ( we are after all, on Earth, and very Earth centric in our thinking).

Thank you bobpursley. SraJMcGin, I would like to apologize to you; I did not mean to dispute you - you are a wonderful teacher. It is just that I was a bit confused, because I had been taught that the moon revolves around the Earth. I should have worded my post differently - please forgive me.
