    Knowing how much distance you should leave  between you and the car ahead,and why.
Knowing why to slow down on curves, and why that amount of slowdown depends upon the banking angle.
Knowing how to get better gas mileage.
Don't waste money on rear end "spoilers" that have no beneficial effect on performance at normal driving speeds.
"Driving defensively" is to a large degree application of the physics of motion to what might happen within the next few seconds.
