Abby has four times as many pictures as Sally. Abby had 18 more pictures than Sally. How many pictures did each girl have?

Sally = X pictures.
Abby = 4X Pictures.

x + 4X = X + (X + 18).
5X = 2X + 18,
3X = 18,
X = 6
4X = 4*6 =24
