Swimming space. The length of a rectangular swimming pool is 2x-1meters, and the width is x+12 meters. Write a polynomial A (x) that represents the area. Find A (5)
Answer:
Area=(2x-1) (x+12)sq m
A=2x(x+12)-1(x+12)
=2x^2+24x-x-12
=2x^2+23x-12 sq m
X=5
A=(2(5)-1) (5+12)
=9*17
=153 sq m
I need to know if I have this correct and if not what I done wrong.

Everything is correct, but I would
have used the Eq that I derived to
calculate A(5): A(x) = 2X^2 + 23X -12.
Michelle, you do a good job of
organizing your work; it is easy
to follow. Keep it up!
