W=Width

D=Depth

V=Volume

V=W*L*D

W*L=A

A=Area of a pool

V=A*D Diwide with A

V/A=D

D=V/A

In this case:

A=L*W

A=22*40

A=880 ft^2

D=V/A=2500/880= 2.8409 ft
