I am writing to ask that the council reconsider closing the city park for the winter. I realize the pool must be closed, but please leave the walking track and the picnic and playground areas open.
For one thing, many people use the walking track daily for exercise. Others use the picnic areas to celebrate family events. In addition, children use the playground equipment in all seasons. Keeping these areas of the park open will benefit many members if our community.
