If you are down to 5, why did you post 8?

Are you supposed to factor this?
It looks like (c+5) is one of them.

For factoring, you have to find which two numbers add to the middle term and multiply to the last term. What two numbers add to 8 and multiply to 15? drwls started you off by saying 5 is one of them: (c+5).
