The consonants are all the letters of the alphabet EXCEPT a,e,i,o and u.

Initial means at the front of the word, middle is in the center of the word and final is at the end of the word.

Look at the word "front". "f" is an initial consonant. "n" is a middle consonant and "t" is a final consonant.
