Give the equation of a line that is perpendicular to the graph of
each equation. I do not understand.

y=12

Would I just write the opposite?

y = -12

y = 12 is a horizontal line
A line perpendicular to y=12 is any vertical line.
For example x = 0 or x = 1578735 or x = any real number.
