Give the equation of the line that passes through point (5, 1) and is parallel to the line y = 3x – 1.

I am so lost. I have no clue how to do this. Can anyone please help?

you know the slope of the line parallel: 3

y=3x+b
PUt in the point (5,1) and solve for b.
