1. A cone justs fits inside a cylinder with volume 300cm^2. what is the volume of the cone?Give reasons for your answers.

volume of cone = (1/3) volume of cylinder with the same base and height
so the volume of the cone = (1/3)(300 cm^3) = 100 cm^3
so the volume of the cone = (1/3)(300 cm^3) = 100 cm^3
