Find an equation for the hyperbola.

vertices:(2,3)(2,-3)
Foci:(2,5)(2,-5)

I used the midpoint formula to find the center and I came up with (2,0). I just don't know how to find a and b.

did you realize that your hyperbola has a vertical major axis?
a = 3
also in any hypebola c^2 = a^2 + b^2
25 = 9 + b^2
b^2 = 16

(x-2)^2/9 - (y^2/16 = -1
