Hi, the question is: Write the equation of the parabola with vertex(3,-1) and x-intercepts 2 and 4.
I did this:
y=?(x-3)^2-1
How to find the a-value?
Many thanks, and I appreciate any answer!

y=a(x-3)^2-1
x-intercept 2 ----> the point (2,0) lies on it
0 = a(1) - 1
a = 1
y=(x-3)^2-1

0 = a(1) - 1
a = 1
y=(x-3)^2-1
