How do you solve the quadratic formula
9 over 8 - 2 =5 over x^2

9/8 - 2 = 5/x^2

-7/8 = 5/x^2

Multiply both sides by x^2.

-7/8 x^2 = 5

Multiply both sides by - 8/7.

x^2 = -40/7

x = √(-40/7)
