In Frederick Jackson Turner's frontier thesis of 1893, he omitted Blacks, Hispanics who made the legend of the "cowboy". Also, the destruction of Native Americans, avoided women's role in settling the frontier, Asians,who helped build western railroads,and immigrants who were not anglo saxon or protestant, reflection of nativist sentiment of the times.
