Where do earthquakes occur?

Earthquakes primarily occur at the edges of tectonic plates. These boundaries are where plates interact with each other, leading to the release of energy that causes earthquakes. While earthquakes can also occur in volcanic regions due to the movement of magma, they are not limited to those areas. Additionally, earthquakes can happen in continental interiors, but they are most commonly associated with tectonic plate boundaries, including divergent, convergent, and transform boundaries.
